Things didn't go well last night. For reasons unknown to us, or perhaps due to his illness, Cho-Boy decided to pee and poo on the bed. We discovered this just before our bedtime (about 10.40pm), and spent the next hour cleaning up the soiled mattress and bedsheets. Cho-Boy got a scolding and a light smack on the rump from me, after which he seemed to look sheepish. After cleaning up, I made up with Cho-Boy and gave him some food, which he ate, and was his purring self again.
As I had noticed he was having little spasms - his head was like nodding backwards constantly, and he had difficulty breathing, I SMS-ed Vegancat my concern at a quarter before midnight.
Later, feeling uneasy in bed, I went to check on him again at midnight, and found him hiding under the chest of drawers. I updated Vegancat with another SMS. Seriously, I was quite worried that I might wake up to find a cat that's suddenly conked out on me! I had seen a sick cat gradually dying before my eyes and I would not ever want it to happen again. :-(
This morning, Cho-Boy looked slightly better and was still eating, although both his eyes had some discharge. Vegancat gave the green light to send him to the vet, and arrangements were made for the pet taxi to pick him up early this afternoon. Let's hope Chocolate Boy hasn't pick up any serious virus and that he recovers soon.
