Lucky Cat symbol

I like the graphics of the Lucky Cat shown on this invitation card to an art exhibition. Many of us have probably seen this 招财猫 ( Chinese text: zhao1 cai2 mao1 ) waving its right paw up and down at many shop premises, as business people believed its presence will "wave in more money and wealth" to the shop owners.

Someone should perpetuate a new belief that these shop owners must show compassion to stray cats in order for the Lucky Cat to work its charm! Perhaps then, will stray cats be accepted as a part of the landscape and have a slightly better life in this unforgiving society.
