While we were sleeping last night, both cats came to join us in bed (again), sleeping side-by-side, which left us humans with little leg space to shift about. To make sure the cats sleep at one spot of the bed (instead of on my blanket or on our legs), we've left a small "rug-plus-old turtleneck t-shirt" in the centre and at the foot of the bed for the cat(s) to sleep on. The turtleneck t-shirt is beige in colour, and on some nights, the edges get rolled out out place by our legs during sleep.
Last week, I woke up in the middle of the night, and in my spectacle-less state and in the near-darkness, saw that the turtleneck t-shirt was rolled out of place again. So I reached out my hand to roll it back into place. As I touched it, I shuddered, as the t-shirt felt thick, warm and furry! It was actually Snowy sleeping there, but in my blindness, I had thought she was the rolled-up turtleneck t-shirt!
Last night, the same thing happened again, but this time it was the SO who reached out to roll back the turtleneck t-shirt, but got a shock from finding a warm and furry Snowy on the bed instead. :p

Well, I guess it is ok it was one of them. Not like it was some strange cat you don't know about!!
i envy you and your SO for having the cats sleep with you!
our cats are not allowed in the bedroom.
before i got married, i already have cats, but they were so active at night (and kept biting my legs) I had to lock them out of bedroom.
but it's very nice when in the morning they jump up my bed to cuddle and rub rub their heads against mine. but oh, not so pleasant when it's their butts against my head!
Cat aunty: if it was a strange cat, then we can forget about sleeping for the rest of the night! *shrieks*
ksn: Er..not sure if u shd envy us this time, as it's very disruptive to my sleep! I won't mind locking them out but our room won't get the wind then. But I did enjoy having an ex-foster cat Billy sharing my bed when I was single. Like you said, it's lovely to wake up and see his "blur-blur" face, happily purring away. :)
