Some personal thoughts

Sophie’s stay with us must have been traumatic for her and Coco, as it is dramatic for me and the SO. Though there wasn’t much chemistry between Sophie and him, the SO just kept mum and quietly supported me by doing the housework and later, helped to clean up the cage and cat room. :)

I’ve been told by my cat friends that it’s usually the cats that select the owner, and that was how Coco selected me. Perhaps the lesson for me out of this fostering episode is that: 有些事是可遇不可求。

So, Coco may just have to remain as the one and only cat at home (maybe I should not say this). This episode has also made me appreciate Coco even more, although she still disturbs my sleep every night with her snuggling in bed and is still very fussy about food and has difficult eating patterns! We are thankful that we can both go to work and leave her at home with peace of mind, although I do worry that she may be somewhat lonely.

What I’m really sorry about is that Sophie has to return to the cattery, where I don’t know what fate lies for her, and whether she will have another chance at living the home life. Some cats can adapt faster, while others just need more time. I hope that one day, she will meet the adopter, who she will chose as the one for her. She will resume her life as YoGa, the name her sponsor originally gave her.

Meanwhile at home, Coco has suddenly resume her loud, manja meowing and behaviour, so it looks like she’s woken up from her "dream" (refer to XY_Meowie and EJ's interpretation :p ).

End of Blog:
With this post, I have decided to close down this almost 3-year old blog, since I no longer have a foster cat. Things are going to get more intense on the work front, so if the mood and inspiration strike, I may just start another new blog. Meanwhile, I may still continue to post on my food and the luggage-tale blogs if anyone is actually reading those. :P

Thank you so much for visiting this blog, and I'm glad to have made your acquaintances, and even realised some readers are my neighbour and colleague. Haha!

Wishing you all a healthy and better 2009 ahead~!

Pity you are closing it down. Actually there should never be a pressure to blog. A blog is just another form of diary which you do not mind sharing with the world.

You can always blog about Coco when you feel like it. Or you may find another helpless kitten again to foster which you can blog about.

Regards, kxbc
