Way before we had the blog discussion on using catnip on cats with certain characteristics, I have planted a pot of fresh catnip, just for the fun of it, and to see if it will thrive along the apartment's corridor which gets limited sunlight.

The catnip is supposed to reach maturation at about 3 months. Well, we'll have to see if it goes that far.

So aunty_p- are the cats at it?
Hey, where you buy? I think this is a good idea! Except all the cats from the neighbourhood will be partying around the flower pots lah
They'll bloom, too. We has it in the back yard an it spreads to wearefur it wants to grow. Haf you pinched any leafs fur the kitties yet? Bonnie goes nuts when she sees Mom come in carrying any leafs frum the garden. They taste wonnerful!
You have quite the green thumb! I think I'd be too worried about my human pet destroying the plant to have her raise some for me.
As the catnip plants are still young, I haven't tried the leaves on the cats yet. I read somewhere that crushed catnip is more powerful as the scent would be better released.
Cat aunty, I got the pack of seeds from the nursery. There is usually a rack full of plant/vegetable seeds for home gardening. Just follow the planting instructions, and add a little organic fertiliser every 2 weeks. Have fun. :)
ok, you have to give detailed instructions, auntie p, cos mine just withered at 3 weeks. and i tried 3 times!
can you tell us how many times you water the plant, and what soil you use?
ksn: Wow! I think you deserve an award for your patience and preseverance! Ok, see the next post coming up.
Hi, Could you share where you bought the catnip seeds? I've called a couple places and haven't found it yet. Thanks!
Hi Anonymous, I bought the catnip seeds from the plant nursery in Singapore...at AMK (the one next to AMK library). They're all displayed on the racks of plant and vegetables seeds.
Good luck.
Auntie p
