Speaking of marble flooring...

The cat sisters were up last night at 3am, this time chasing a lizard! They woke me up with their antics, and by the time I realised what they were doing, the poor lizard has already lost its tail! I didn't want the kitties to kill the lizard, yet I didn't dare to catch it (roach and lizard-catching is the SO's job :p ), and neither did I want to wake the SO up...so what was I to do???

In the end, I covered the half-mauled lizard with a small bucket, which is covered by a bigger bucket, just to be doubly sure the cats won't create more ruckus, turned off the lights and returned to bed. A while later, Snowy came to join me in bed, and later followed by Coco, who slept on my blanket.

In the morning, I was about to ask SO to do the honours of catching (and releasing) the lizard when I spotted some debris on the floor which looked like a mass of chewed-up-then-vomitted-out lizard!! *Shrieksss!!* The mass had the lizards tail right at the end, so it looked really like a lizard...the cat that chewed it has been sleeping so close to me on my bed... Yikes!!

Fortunately, SO took a closer look and confirmed that the vomit was cat food. One of the cats must have swallowed the broken off lizard's tail and then vomitted the chunks of cat food (I always wonder why the vomit can still maintain the shape of the kibble?!?).

By then, no amount of cleaning was able to remove the vomit stain on the marble floor. Too bad...

That's the disadvantage of marble floors. They are so porous.

The good thing is that after some time, you will not notice the stain anymore.

My suspicion falls on Coco eating the tail. She is the last to go to bed, lol.

We have lots of old stains and pockmarks on the floor, left behind by the ex-owner (who had 2 toddlers), and we don't (and try not to) notice them much. ;)

EJ: LOLs! Initially, we suspect it was Snowy who swallowed the lizard's tail, but from the shape of the mass, it is likely to be Coco...coz she ate more round kibbles.
