New cat food

Tried this new cat food which Sugar and Jon-Jon seem to like; they especially liked the gravy, of which there was quite a bit. Hence, it was a bit messy to feed the community cats using a sheet of plastic bag (placed on the floor), so I used Coco's plastic bowls instead.

I left a bit of leftover for Coco to try and the smell permeated the kitchen. It actually smells very good, like a cross between chicken-soup & luncheon meat, which almost made me want to try it! Maybe I should, next time. :P

But of course, our no.1 fan of Fussiecat HRH, just pooh-poohed at it and refused to touch it one little bit.

Tsk...tsk...

Looks delicious.....maybe can use this to curb your Maling's craving?

And it is not made in Thailand...

CocoMaomao, tell your mummy there are two new flavours for Fussiecat

cat aunty, the last i checked, it IS made in thailand.

haha.. i should know...

i did try the tuna (purple pack) when i visited the factory 3 years ago. it actually tasted good. yes, they used real tuna...

BUT, i wont eat it as a meal. i was told by the marketing director at the time, they had to put 'pet food only, not for human consumption' because some homeless people or vagabonds do try to eat them as a meal!!

Actually, if the pet/mammal can eat the pet food, why not human/mammal?

Unless they have ingredients which aren't good/fit for consumption or they're afraid the human may sue if anything untoward happens after eating the pet food (and which they have no qualms feeding to animals)?

yes, auntie p, you are right. it was widely reported tat pet food companies process dead carcasses and not from live ones, besides the preservatives in end-pdts.

for cat food, there shouldn't be any plant based pdts in there at all 'cos they are 100% carnivorous, unlike dogs. so wheat gluten, "crude fibre", corn starch and soy pdts etc etc are detrimental to cats in the long run.

when cats (or any other pets) get sick in time to come, vets have no way to trace the source to processed food 'cos this is a built-up process.

its like slow dead without knowing.

death, i mean. sorry for the typo.

It look really good - good enough to eat kind.

I bought the fussiecat with anchovies and mussels too. NO one likes it in the house. Thank goodness I bought one of each just to try-try.

Oh dear, I think I have 5 cans of both coz I bought a mix of flavours in a carton. I though anchovies should not be too bad? I may have to give them to the community cats then. :P
